Park Assist can be enabled and disabled using the MTC System. The available choices are: "Off", "Sound Only", or "Sound and Display". See "MTC Settings" in section 3 for further information. When the Park Assist soft-key is pressed to disable the system, the instrument cluster will display the "Park Assist System disabled" message for approximately five seconds.
See "Instrument Cluster" in section 4 for further information. When the shift lever is moved to R (Reverse) or to D (Drive) at a speed of 7 mph (11 km/h) or below and the system is disabled, the instrument cluster will display the "Park Assist off" message for approximately five seconds in R (Reverse) or for 5 seconds when the vehicle is in motion.
